Donna Kukama is a Johannesburg-based multimedia artist working in video, sound, and performance. Her works often articulate moments in reality that question the way in which histories are narrated and how value systems are being constructed. Involving the unscripted participation of others, and by resisting established “ways of doing,” her performances live in fleeting moments that exist between reality and fiction.
In the framework of Green light–An artistic workshop, Kukama is spending one week with the Green light participants in order to get to know the project’s dynamics and its main actors - the currently enrolled forty participants. Emanating from this phase Kukama will develop a framework for her workshop held on October 19.
